MEET RON

I am a U.S. Air Force, Desert Storm-Era Veteran, that honorably served my country for over 14 years. I was inducted into the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame in 2022 as a result of sustained community service. As a Top Business Executive, I’ve operated three (3) statewide business development agencies, resulting in over $100 Billion in contracts for Arizona businesses. I have lived in Mesa collectively over 30+ years & have proven my commitment to serving in this community. Most recently in Mesa, I have been afforded the opportunity to serve on the Visit Mesa Board as Secretary; Chairperson, the Mesa Human Relations Advisory Board; Chairperson, the Mesa For All Foundation, the Mesa Police Foundation Board, and serve as Chairperson of the City of Mesa’s 2050 General Plan Citizen Advisory Committee, where I have been trusted with working directly with City Staff to actively plan the City of Mesa through the year 2050, with updates to the Mayor and City Council. My experience working with and supporting Public Safety officials “unmatched.”

My additional volunteer service has included:

  • Board of Directors of Child Crisis Arizona, that provides emergency shelter, foster care, adoption, counseling, early education, and parenting support services to Arizona’s most vulnerable children, youth and families

  • Volunteering & assisting the homeless, formerly incarcerated and underserved citizens at Mesa Homeless Programs

  • Supporting military veterans with employment, education, and entrepreneurship at the HEROZONA Foundation

  • Providing scholarships and internships for graduating high school seniors at the Arizona Dream Builder Foundation

  • Serving as an Advisor for the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA), that provides governance & state coordination for interscholastic activities, which enriches the education-based athletics and activities of Arizona high schools.

I also currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society, Boost a Foster Family, and the HeroZona Foundation. I’m looking forward to continuing to serve in a new way as the Mesa City Councilmember for District 1. With your support I will be able to bring my lived experiences, knowledge and dedication to the Mesa City Council. I am honored to have the opportunity to represent the members of our community. My ultimate goal is to ensure the safety and prosperity of Mesa residents.
